<img src="http://www.instablogsimages.com/images/2008/06/02/jaipur_051408<img src=" alt="gorakhpur_blast1_Tenkt_16302" align="right"/>

We have seen the ugly face of terrorism in Jaipur, the explosions took place in Jaipur might have links with so many orgnisations but one thing is there and that is the sequence and pattern of explosions. In past we have seen so many terrorist attacks in India like blasts of varanasi. The other one which is a bit less known incident is of Gorakhpur which was not so hype due to less intensity of the blasts and damage too. The main thing is that the pattern of Jaipur and Gorakhpur blast is quite same. Blasts of Gorakhpur were made in main market of Gorakhpur ‘Golghar’. Bombs were on bicycles. These bicycles were bought from the shops an after that all bicycles were parked in the crowded places. Same thing happened in Jaipur too. So the point is that “Is there any link in these explosions?” Well as far as incident of Gorakhpur is concerned there is no result of investigations. Life is again on track in Gorakhpur so in Jaipur but are we again waiting for another explosion to happen? Why the people and the administration is not so much concerned about these incidents? Every time an inquiry with no significant results.

The corporate face of IPL was supposed to come in real and it came with a bang. First it was resignation of Charu Sharma, CEO of Royal Challengers and now Dr. Vijay Mallya showing his frustration at team’s performance and captain Rahul Dravid. Dr. Mallya has clearly said no one can deny the corporate face of IPL and that distinguishes IPL from other tournaments.

Mallya told a news channel, “I had my own list (of players) but the fact is Rahul Dravid and Charu Sharma had their own list and at the end of the day, I decided to take the back seat,”.
“I was very tempted to bid for players whom I wanted but they held me back. Obviously things have turned out differently”.
He added “At the end of the day, people need to understand that the IPL has a corporate side to it, and a very definitive corporate side. It is not at all cricket in the traditional sense,”.

Well its not only Dr. Mallya who may be disappointed with their team other franchise owners like Deccan Chargers may also be disappointed as their team is also not performing according to their standards.

This kind of corporate involvement is creating a big pressure on the players to perform. Earlier if a player wasn’t performing the team management was not putting that kind of pressure by assuming as a bad period for the player but in IPL the pressure is mounting everyday its just due to lots of investment made by the owners.

Players like Rahul Dravid who had handled every kind of pressure on the field are not able to tackle this one.
So according to all account we can say that this corporate face is going to be ugly and ugly as the tournament will progress.

18th April 2008 may be a red letter day for BCCI and for Indian cricket fans but this IPL’s impact on international cricket in long terms is going to be negative somehow. As the days are passing viewers are getting really nail biting matches which is the real secret of IPL success but this kind of entertainment is going to kill interest of viewers from the other forms of cricket especially the real cricket called test cricket. People are getting used to these T20 matches which is going to take their 3 to 4 hours rather than 5 days taken by test matches and 9 to 10 hours of 50 overs one days.

Meanwhile there are so many controversies going on in this event and we should be ready for more. It is also creating a kind of pressure to perform in the mind of the players who have got handsome amount from the owners. these owners are mainly big guns of India like SRK and Dr. Mallya. They want to see their teams winning any how as they have invested a huge amount of money. So they will also pressurize the player to perform better. And somehow it is going to infect the sportsmanship.

Well so many negatives are mentioned but still there are some positives about IPL like domestic cricketers are getting better exposure and environment of international level matches. At the same time they are making their pockets heavy too.
